Making a dropdown menu title open a specific page

On non-touchscreen devices (like laptops and desktop computers), where dropdown menus open on hover, Squarespace’s default behaviour expects the visitor to select a page from the dropdown list. However, some people will instead click the dropdown menu title, which, by default, doesn’t lead anywhere. You may wish to ensure that clicking on the dropdown menu title dees open a specific page.

The custom JavaScript in the code sample below is used on this site to ensure that clicking the DROPDOWN MENUS link opens this page. On touchscreen devices, the first tap reveals the dropdown menu, and a second tap opens the page.

The HOW IT WORKS dropdown menu uses Squarespace’s default behaviour and has not been customised to open a page.
